Saints vs Packers Will Be a Brutal Display of Offensive Ineptitude

Both the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers failed to cover the spread in each of their last four preseason games.

Someone has to win this battle though, so who will it be? My colleague, Josh Yourish, likes the value on the Saints and it's tough to argue given the Packers' offensive struggles.

Can Jordan Love finally look worthy of the draft capital Green Bay used to acquire him, or will New Orleans prove Josh correct?

Let's take a peak at the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook before diving into this Saints vs Packers matchup:

The odds haven't changed since Josh wrote up a preview earlier this week. It seems WynnBET is confident in the lines they've set, so let's jump into my favorite bet.

Saints vs Packers Best Bet and Prediction

I have no faith whatsoever in either team this week.

First, you've got Aaron Rodgers openly frustrated with how bad Green Bay's wide receivers are. It's clear he's not a fan of losing Davante Adams. While Rodgers can uplift a bad supporting cast, Jordan Love, um, can't. Green Bay is averaging just 10.5 points per game in its last four preseason contests as a result.

Second, the Saints have long been a terrible preseason offense. They've scored 14 points or fewer in three of their last four matchups, and the under is consistently a great bet in these spots for them. It's 14-4 since 2016, and I expect another sloppy affair.

I agree with Josh that the Saints +3 has value. Andy Dalton is the best quarterback playing for either team, so that counts for something.

That being said, my favorite bet is the under. These offenses are train-wrecks, but we might as well profit off the destruction. Back the Saints' under trend to continue in a disgusting game we'll all be better off forgetting.

Pick: Under 39.5 (-110)
