The Oklahoma State Cowboys figure to be a Big 12 contender, but look to string together some victoires in the midst of a heated non-conference schedule.
Sandwiched in between a road game against UConn and Virginia Tech, the Cowboys host Sam Houston State, who has proven to be a giant killer of sorts this season, knocking off the likes of Oklahoma and Utah already this season.
Will the Cowboys be prepared for this non-conference matchup? Here are the odds:

The Bearkats figure to be a contender in the WAC conference this season, but I'm afraid they could run into trouble Tuesday as they are due for some shooting regression. So far, Sam Houston State has started the season shooting 39% from beyond the arc, 24th in the country.
Unfortunately for the 'Kats, they match their elite shot making with poor finishing around the rim, ranked 310th in two-point percentage. This will be an issue against a Cowboys team that has relentless ball pressure, allowing foes to shoot at the 12th-lowest effective field goal percentage in the country.
Sam Houston State has gambled and won against inferior foes for most of the season, forcing turnovers at a top 10 rate. However, Oklahoma State is a team that loves to get inside and can finish around the rim, 94th in two-point percentage and get to the free throw line a ton. SHSU has an opponent free throw rate of 38%, 299th in the country.
In a matchup of two physical teams, I'll count on the battle-tested more talented team to win out.
