The ultra competitive Mountain West continues to wage war on one another with a Friday night showdown in Fort Collins when Colorado State hosts San Diego State.

The Rams dropped their second straight game on the road to Wyoming in overtime but need to stop the bleeding soon before they play themselves out of the Mountain West regular season championship race. It won't get any easier with the country's second best defense coming to town in SDSU.

Here are the odds for this Friday night showdown from WynnBET Sportsbook.

San Diego State vs. Colorado State Prediction and Pick

It's tough sledding for Rams head coach Niko Medved's team against the visiting Aztecs, going just 1-5 in six career matchups. However, I believe that David Roddy and CSU can get the job done tonight against a porous San Diego State offense.

San Diego State is 200th in KenPom's offensive efficiency metric and outside the top 300 in Barttorvik's ranking since January 1st. Both teams defense are compact and force you to shoot from the perimeter, which gives a significant edge to the Rams, who are shooting at a top 20 clip from beyond the arc this season. Meanwhile, San Diego State is below the national average from the three-point line this season.

I faded Colorado State on the road earlier this week, but believe that the team is in line for a bounce back effort in front of their home crowd and against a team that beat them by 30 earlier this season.

The market is also aware that the "spot" calls for a Colorado State victory, moving them from -2.5 to -4. I got in on -3 (you can find all my plays in real time here), but I do believe that the Rams are going to find enough offense and clean the glass enough to outpace the Aztecs and cover anything up to -4. For what it's worth, SDSU is 1-3 ATS away from home this season and 1-2 as an underdog this year.

PICK: Colorado State -4 (-110)
