There's one golfer I'm eyeing to be the first round leader and it's someone who has had a lot of success this season, but has stumbled at events over the past couple of months. That man is Max Homa.
There's nothing I love more than investing in a golfer that's in a "buy low" spot, and that's what Homa is in right now. But, there are positives for him to lean on this week, especially in the first round.
He's coming off a respectable T21 finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, with his game finally showing signs of life. He also played well at this event last season, finishing T16.
But, the thing I like about Homa the most in this spot, is he's been fantastic in the first round all season. In fact, he ranks eighth on the PGA Tour in first round scoring average at 69.69.
At +4500, I think he's a great bet to be the first round leader in Scotland on Thursday.
