Seahawks Schedule Screws Them in Playoff Odds

The Seattle Seahawks are going to look a bit different this season. After a tumultuous few years, the franchise elected to move on from long-time quarterback Russell Wilson, shipping him to the Broncos and entering a rebuild for the first time in years.

As it stands, Drew Lock and Geno Smith are their top two quarterbacks. That's a significant drop off from Wilson, regardless of how you feel about his play. Seattle still has excellent playmakers on offense, but they'll have a disadvantage at quarterback against almost every team they play.

Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the NFL schedule-makers have given them another significant disadvantage to deal with.

I hope the organization has travel agents on payroll, because yikes. That's a ton of miles to travel, so while the Seahawks may enjoy the rewards points on their travel cards, they're going to to get very familiar with TSA protocols.

In fairness, a lot of those travel miles will come in one trip. The Seahawks will play in the NFL's first game in Germany, but even without that game they'll be traveling more than any other team in the league.

On top of their divisional games, Seattle will play the AFC West and NFC South. The AFC West, in particular, looks like the best division in the NFL. But that also means the Seahawks will play against Russell Wilson in his first game with the Broncos.

WynnBET Sportsbook currently has Seattle listed at +5000 to win the NFC and +10000 to win the Super Bowl, so if you believe in outlandish miracles then they may have some value. However, with Lock or Smith at the helm, I believe it's next-to-impossible for the Seahawks to make the playoffs, let alone win a championship.

We'll keep you updated at BetSided with any notable updates or important information, but for now I'd recommend looking elsewhere with your futures bets over at WynnBET.
