The NFC West leaders travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers. That’s right, the Seahawks are the top dog out west. The only 1-0 team is the team everyone expected to be in the basement of the division. It’s only one week, but it is chaos in the NFC, so maybe we could play a few props until we figure out who’s actually good.

These are a couple of my favorite props if you want a little extra action on this game or if you’re staying away from a 9.5 point spread.

Best Prop Bets for Seahawks vs. 49ers

  • Trey Lance OVER 42.5 Rushing Yards
  • Trey Lance OVER 188.5 Passing Yards
  • Geno Smith UNDER 205.5 Passing Yards

Trey Lance Over 42.5 Rushing Yards

Trey Lance went over this rushing total a week ago in a monsoon in Chicago. Kyle Shananhan hasn’t really been able to show off his rushing offense with Trey Lance because last week was an absolute slop fest. I could not take much from that game and I don’t think we’ve scratched the surface of what Trey Lance can do on the ground.

The Broncos moved the ball at will on Monday night football against the Seattle defense, they just had two fumbles at the goaline that made it look like the Seahawks were getting stops. It was fluky and it is time to fade the Seahawks every which way.

Trey Lance Over 193.5 Passing Yards

I do wonder how well Lance can do as a passer for his career, if he will ever be able to find success as a starting quarterback, but what I do know is that Shanahan’s offense schemes guys open all the time. Russell Wilson threw for 340 yards against this defense, the 16 points were because of running back fumbles not because of a revamped Seattle defense. This is not the new legion of boom and with Jamal Adams out, things got even harder for the Seattle secondary.

Geno Smith Under 207.5 Passing Yards

DeMeco Ryans might be the best defensive coordinator in the NFL. Last year he had a great defense that held up in the playoffs with almost no talent in the secondary. Now, they are better and healthier and will have answers for the Geno Smith version of the Jared Goff Rams offense that Seattle and Shane Waldren run.

The story last week was that Geno played so well, and some even said he outplayed Russ. That was not the case, he was accurate, but still only threw for 195 yards even with a nearly perfect first half at home.
