Seahawks vs. 49ers Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 2 (Don't Write Geno Smith Off Again)
Geno Smith versus Trey Lance. That’s the quarterback battle we’re getting in Week 2 when the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers meet for the first time this season. The Seahawks are coming off an amazing, energized performance against their former quarterback Russell Wilson. Meanwhile, the 49ers are trying to figure out how they lost to the Chicago Bears.
Both teams suffered big personnel losses in Week 1 (49ers lost Elijah Mitchell and Seattle lost Jamal Adams), but let’s see who can bounce back the best and start 1-0 in the division.

Seahawks vs. 49ers Prediction and Pick
Before Week 1, I probably would’ve taken the 49ers at this line with no questions asked. However, the first game of the season showed me a lot. The Seahawks were able to move the ball fairly easily against the Denver Broncos. D.K. Metcalf was involved; Rashaad Penny looked fresh; Geno Smith looked the best he’s looked in years.
While I expect the Seahawks to be the public play this week, I’m going to ride with the public. San Francisco may still be without George Kittle, while also losing Elijah Mitchell in the backfield. I’m interested in seeing what the offense looks like with Trey Lance having a diminished core around him and in a tough divisional game.
The 49ers have the coach and several playmakers on both sides of the ball, but I can’t trust them to win by double digits in a game they haven’t won in 2 years.
