Seahawks vs. Rams Prediction and Odds for NFL Week 13 (Avoid Betting On Rams At All Cost)
By Josh Yourish
The Seattle Seahawks were one of the best stories of the NFL season, but it seems like they could be crashing back down to earth after a 40-34 OT loss to the Raiders in Week 12.
However, the Los Angeles Rams might be the softest possible landing for Seattle. Matthew Stafford was out last week with Cooper Kupp, and now the rest of the Rams could be done with the team at 3-8 coming off a Super Bowl victory.
If Seattle is going to make a playoff push then they will need to take advantage of the depleted Rams. Vegas thinks that they can, so let’s look at the odds for this one.
Seahawks vs. Rams Odds Spread and Total
LA and Seattle Betting Trends
- LA is 3-7-1 ATS
- Seattle is 6-5 ATS
- The Under is 7-4 in LA’s games
- LA is 6-1 ATS in last seven meetings
- The Under is 5-1 in the last six meetings
Seahawks vs. Rams Prediction and Pick
The Rams don’t have any picks, but they’re doing the best tank job of anyone. It seems that their all-in style of team building has caught up to them, but they have the hardware to show it worked to perfection. The bill has come due for this team at 3-8 and now, Sean McVay is likely to shut down the rest of his stars. I wouldn’t be surprised if McVay tried to find a way to get himself onto the IR to be done for the year.
The Seahawks certainly have problems. They have one of the lowest pressure rates in the NFL and were only able to sack Derek Carr once on 37 dropbacks. Geno Smith is no longer playing like a star quarterback, but he is still more than serviceable. Last game he went 27/37 for 328 yards, two TDs and a pick. I think he will play great against the Rams defense especially if Aaron Donald isn’t on the field.
Seattle needs a win and Pete Carroll will be able to fire his team up to get it. I expect the spread to keep increasing throughout the week, so I’m betting it now.
Pick: Seahawks -7.5 (-110)
