Seattle U vs. Washington Prediction and Odds for Monday, November 28 (The Huskies are on Upset Alert)
By Josh Yourish
The Washington Huskies are 5-1 after their 68-64 win over Saint Mary’s on Friday, but Vegas does not have a lot of confidence in their ability to beat 5-0 Seattle U. The Redhawks have already beaten Portland who has gotten a win against Villanova and played UNC and Michigan State very close in their three games since.
Will Seattle’s winning ways translate against the Pac 12 or will a step up in competition be too much for the Red Hawks?

Seattle U vs. Washington Prediction and Pick
Washington has a talented roster with Keion Brooks as their leading scorer and Frank Kepnang anchoring their defense. Yet, they are only scoring 69.3 points per game even with pretty solid shooting numbers from behind the arc and at the free-throw line. The issue is their lack of playmaking.
They only average 8.8 assists as a team and PJ Fuller accounts for 3.2 of those. All of their playmaking comes from one place, or from isolation scoring and that isn’t a reliable recipe, especially in college basketball when there is less spacing than in the NBA game. They are 353rd out of 362 Division I basketball teams in assists per game.
Seattle will be able to take advantage of that and they will be able to score on the Huskies. Cameron Tyson has only played in three of their five games this year, but he is averaging 28.3 points per game. He is shooting 51.4% from three, so that won’t happen all season long, but as a team the Redhawks hit 41.8% from three. Even will some slight shooting regression from Tyson this is still a lethal team from deep.
The recipe for an upset in college hoops is for the underdog to have a great shooting night and for a dominant scoring guard to take over the game down the stretch. Seattle checks both boxes and they’ll win this game outright.
Pick: Seattle U +190
