Things are not looking great for the Oregon State Beavers right now. They’re currently 4-6 on the season and coming off a 72-54 blowout loss to Texas A&M.

They did sneak out a win over the Washington Huskies, moving to 1-1 in the Pac-12, but they’re underdogs against the Seattle University Redhawks (7-1) at home tonight. Ironically enough, the Redhawks' only loss was to that same Washington team that the Beavers defeated by a 77-66 score.

Will the Beavers pull an upset as a home underdog against a mid-major team or will it be another loss still so early in the year?

Here’s what Vegas thinks about it:

Seattle U vs. Oregon State Prediction and Pick

Seattle is the rightful favorite in this game. They’re simply a better team than Oregon State and they’ll have the best player on the court in Cameron Tyson. He is a true scoring guard, averaging 23.7 points and 0.3 assists in the Redhawks' backcourt. It’d be nice to see a little bit more playmaking out of Tyson, but even at a high volume of shots he is very efficient. He’s only shooting 44.8% from the field, but 40.8% from three on 11.8 attempts a night.

He could have a big night against the Beavers who allow their opponents to score 67.9 points a night on 32.5% shooting from three. Seattle’s offense is No. 25 in the entire country in points per game (82.3). Oregon State is No. 320 in the country scoring just 65.4 a night. The Redhawks could legitimately run them out of the gym if they’re hitting shots tonight. If the shots aren’t falling, Seattle plays at a much faster pace than the Beavers, so that style will play to their advantage regardless.

Don’t overthink this one. Just because Oregon State has beaten the only team that Seattle has lost to this year, I still project the Redhawks to cruise tonight.
