Crisis averted.

19-year-old phenom Carlos Alcaraz flirted with disaster on Wednesday, rallying from down a break in the fifth set against Albert Ramos-Vinolas to win the match of the 2022 French Open thus far. The second choice to win his first Grand Slam, Alcaraz is onto the third round with a match against American born Sebastian Korda.

How should we bet this one with Alcaraz sitting as a massive favorite? Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportbsook and find the best bet for this third round matchup:

Sebastian Korda vs. Carlos Alcaraz Odds, Spread, Total

Total: 35.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Sebastian Korda vs. Carlos Alcaraz Prediction and Pick

Korda has looked strong to start his Roland-Garros campaign, winning in straight sets through the first two rounds. However, if we look at the numbers, it may be a bit smoke and mirrors. Korda is putting his first serve into play at around a 57% of the time so far, which can be problematic against Alcaraz, who is one of the most dangerous returners on tour. If Korda is going to live off of his second serve nearly half the time, he will pounce and find breaks early and often.

While this match should be competitive, I think we can see some wide margins when we look at the final score line. Korda did knock off Alcaraz back on March 14 in Monte Carlo (on clay) in three sets, but I think we see the Spaniard look like a contender again.

I'm going under 35.5 games as my favorite bet in this one. The two had a pair of tiebreaks in their meeting back in March, so if I'm counting on a straight sets victory for Alcaraz, this gives me some cushion for that. With Korda's concerning first serve percentage, I think we can see Alcaraz get two breaks in a set and roll to a victory.

LEAN: UNDER 35.5 Games
