Seton Hall vs. Butler Prediction and Odds: Wait for Injury News Before Betting Pirates
By Reed Wallach
Seton Hall has had a bumpy few weeks due to COVID-19 protocols. The team was sidelined for more than two weeks due to an outbreak within the team before they were welcomed back shorthanded to two losses against formidable Big East foes in Providence and Villanova, both by single digits.
Now, the Pirates head to Butler to face the Bulldogs in hopes of getting back versatile Tyrese Samuel and 7'2" big Ike Obigau.
As it stands, the Pirates are slight road favorites at Butler, here are the full odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Seton Hall vs. Butler Prediction and Pick
I mentioned above that injuries will play a role in this game. The Pirates hung tough with stronger opponents but Samuel is a huge loss if he can't go again as he is one of the team's best rebounders. Of course, Obiagu is a behemoth in the middle against an undersized Butler team.
If both are ruled out, and this line goes within -3, I will back Seton Hall. I think the team is a borderline elite team and think this recent stretch is due to the layoff more than the roster.
The team has at on of size and defends at a high level, yielding an effective field goal percentage of 43.6%, 15th lowest in the country.
While the offense isn't a strong 3-point shooting team, sub-30%, they protect the ball at a top 20 clip and shoot nearly 75% from the line. I believe they have enough firepower to take care of Butler, I'm just waiting for the best number.
Butler beat up on a short handed DePaul team their last time out, but they have struggled most times when facing tougher competition. I expect Seton Hall find its legs on the road and take advantage of a middling Big East foe.
LEAN: Seton Hall -3.5, wait for injury news
