Seton Hall vs. Georgetown Prediction and Odds (Hoyas Remain Winless in Big East Play)
By Matt De Saro
The Georgetown Hoyas are set to host the Seton Hall Pirates tonight in a game featuring two Big East teams that are struggling to stay afloat. Georgetown especially who is at 6-12 overall and has yet to win a conference game in seven tries. They are the worst team in the conference without question but Seton Hall, at 3-6 in the Big East, is not doing all that much better. The pair get a chance to redeem themselves a bit when they face off tonight.
Seton Hall has had more overall success this season but has also lost four of their last five games and looks a bit lost right now. Their last game was a loss to Marquette 73-63 that left their record at 12-7 overall on the season. Not a bad mark but their recent struggles and issues in conference play have me questioning how good, or bad, this team really is.

Seton Hall vs. Georgetown Prediction and Pick
It is crazy to think that, at one point, the Seton Hall Pirates were the No. 15 ranked team in the entire nation. Now, they are just 7.5-point favorites to the worst team in the Big East. The team has really missed their leading scorer Byce Aiken who has been out since suffering a concussion on Jan 15 at Marquette. The Pirates just rely on him too much to keep the offense churning and, without him, it has stalled.
The Hoyas, meanwhile, have been pissing in the wind all season. They have lost eight games in a row and were edged out by Butler in their last game 56-53 in a heartbreaker. The Hoyas have one of the worst defenses in the entire nation and allow 76.4 points per game. Compared to their 72.9 PPG on offense it is easy to see why they have yet to win a game in the conference.
For as much as the Pirates have underperformed, they have the personnel to be a good team. With Aiken, they might even be great. But, for now, they just have to start winning games against bad teams. And Georgetown is the epitome of a bad team.
Lean: Seton Hall against the spread up to -8
