The Sharks come into this matchup on the hunt for a win after suffering their first loss of the season at the hands of the Boston Bruins. San Jose, now 4-0-1 on the year, is in a good spot here against the struggling Predators. 

The Predators are coming off a win over the Wild their last game out, but have looked more like prey for most of this young season. With a 2-4-0 record on the year, this is a win the home team needs to snag.

Despite losing their last game out to the Bruins, the Sharks had a strong showing with 26 shots on goal. The problem is, San Jose was let down by their defense who allowed 33 shots against. On the season, San Jose is averaging 3.8 goals per game, almost one more than the Predators average of 2.83.

I like what I saw from the Predators in their win over the Wild last time out. The team managed 29 shots in the game compared to the defense which saw 35 shots. However, unlike the Sharks, The Predators were able to keep the score in check despite being outshot in this game. 

The Predators are always a hard team to play on the road, and the road team has won 71% of the games in this series. However, getting plus money on the Sharks to win straight up after coming out of the gate on a hot streak is too good to pass up. We will see if the Sharks are for real, but for now, let’s just hope they are real profitable tonight.
