If I had told you a few months ago that we’d be watching a pitchers duel between two of the best pitchers in baseball, with one having the second lowest ERA in the majors, you would never in your wildest dreams think that it’d be between Kevin Gausman and Shohei Ohtani.

There’s also a zero percent chance that you would guess it’d be the San Francisco Giants who would have the best record in baseball, but here we are.

WynnBET expects tonight’s pitchers duel to be a close one, as it has the Giants set as slight -116 road favorites and the Los Angeles Angels set as -105 underdogs. The total for the game is set at eight runs.

WynnBET also had player props set for the game. The earned run total for both pitchers is set at 2.5, with the under favored to the over. Gausman’s earned run total under 2.5 looks especially enticing, as the 30-year old has allowed more than two runs only once all season, including 11 straight starts of two or fewer runs.

Despite sporting an ERA of 1.51, second to only Jacob deGrom, Gausman continues to be disrespected when it comes to Cy Young odds. While deGrom will likely win the award, Gausman is listed at +1500, which is behind Brandon Woodruff (+800), and tied with Zack Wheeler, Yu Darvish and Corbin Burnes.

Meanwhile, despite not being listed near the top of the odds list to win the AL Cy Young award, Ohtani is listed second to win the AL MVP on WynnBET at +145. The only player listed above the dual-threat phenom, is Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who is leading the majors in home runs, at +100 odds to win the award.

The interleague matchup between one of the most surprising teams and pitchers in the Majors, and dual-threat player who many people consider the future of baseball, will serve as must-watch television today.
