Shohei Ohtani is starting to become the face of baseball, and for good reason. We haven’t seen someone who dominated their opponents both with their pitching and their hitting since the likes of Babe Ruth.

Not only does he have a 4-1 record as a starting pitcher with an ERA of 3.49, but he also leads Major League Baseball with 31 home runs. That's three more homers than Blue Jays infielder Vladimir Guerrero Jr. who trails Ohtani in second place.

WynnBET released updated odds to be crowned the home run king at the conclusion of the 2021 season, and Ohtani has taken over as the betting favorite at +135. Guerrero Jr. and Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. are next on the odds list at +425. After those three, there’s a significant drop-off with Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. at +1000.

Ohtani also became the first player in MLB history this week to be named to the All-Star game as both a pitcher and a position player.

The 27-year old has been on a fantastic stretch lately as a hitter, hitting seven home runs in his past nine games. He's also had two multi-home run games on June 29th against the New York Yankees and July 2nd against the Baltimore Orioles.

Ohtani is set as the betting favorite for American League MVP at -180 odds at WynnBET.

If you’re looking for a value bet to lead the Majors in home runs, look no further than Washington Nationals outfielder Kyle Schwarber. Despite a record-breaking June where he hit 16 home runs, Schwarber is listed at +2500 odds at WynnBET to be the leader at the end of the season.
