The Sienna Saints head to the People’s United Center tonight to take on their MAAC rivals, the Quinnipiac Bobcats. While the Saints are second in the conference and the Bobcats are sixth, these two teams match up very well.

This could be one of the more exciting games during the final games of MAAC play in fact. Siena was on a bit of a tear, winning six of their last seven, but over their last three games, they are just 1-2. Their last loss, against Monmouth, was particularly concerning after the Hawks beat Siena 71-59.

The Bobcats have also suffered through some recent struggles, having lost six of their last eight, but I think they are a better team than that. So do the oddsmakers who have put a short spread of 2.5 on this game in favor of the home team. Here are the odds for this matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Siena vs. Quinnipiac Odds, Spread, and Total

Spread:

  • Siena +2.5 (-110)
  • Quinnipiac -2.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Siena +120
  • Quinnipiac -145

Total: 139 (Over -110/Under -110)

Siena vs. Quinnipiac Prediction and Pick

One of the big things that stick out to me when looking over the results for these two teams is just how bad the Bobcats are at home. At least from an ANT'S perspective. Quinnipiac is 4-8 ATS at home and 2-4 ATS as a home favorite. The last time they covered a game at home was on Jan. 28 as one-point dogs to Marist. Siena doesn’t have a lot of work on the road as favorites but is 1-0 in those games. Overall on the road, they are an even 6-6 ATS. Not impressive but at least they are not below .500.

The Saints do a lot of things I like from a short underdog too. They are a better free-throw shooting team, they play much better perimeter defense and have a much stronger overall defense than Quinnipiac. They get more blocks, more steals, and give up fewer fouls and turnovers. I feel good at Siena tonight as a team playing much better and getting underdogs odds.

Pick: Siena +120 to win
