Sixers vs. Hawks prediction and odds for NBA Summer League (Atlanta undervalued?)
By Peter Dewey
The Atlanta Hawks have put together a solid summer in Las Vegas, winning two of their three games behind Kobe Bufkin and AJ Griffin.
Atlanta will be put to the test on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers, who enter this game at 1-1 in the Summer League.
If there’s one thing we can take away from Philly’s games, it's that they’ll be high scoring. Both teams that have faced the Sixers have scored 100 points, and Philly’s offense has countered with two 100-plus point outings as well.
The Hawks have yet to crack triple-digits this summer, but they do have a lot of talent on their roster that could make things tough on G League Finals MVP Jaden Springer and company.
Let’s check out the latest odds and my best bet for this afternoon showdown:

Sixers vs. Hawks prediction and pick
Atlanta’s offense is going to have to show up to beat the Sixers, but Philly has been pretty awful on the defensive end, giving up over 100 points to a New York Knicks team filled with undrafted free agents and last offseason’s second-round pick Trevor Keels.
The Knicks only scored 82 points on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic.
I don’t trust this Philly defense at all, and Atlanta has picked up a pair of wins already this summer.
Springer certainly makes the Sixers a dangerous team, but the team isn’t oozing with first-round talent either.
I’ll gladly back the Hawks as underdogs in this spot.
Pick: Hawks +2 (-110)
