After a week where the sky was falling down, the Philadelphia 76ers got in the win column. They’ll take their win across the border for back-to-back games against the Toronto Raptors. Philly is expected to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, and this will be a good early season test.

The Raptors have dropped two in a row to the Miami Heat, but with the sluggish Sixers coming into town, this may be a chance to get back on track.

Philadelphia was able to handle the Raptors last season in the playoffs. Will that dominance continue today?

Philadelphia finally broke through against the Pacers and got a win, and I think it can keep that momentum going against the Sixers. James Harden’s resurrection has been a great sign for the Sixers, as well as Tyrese Maxey’s development as a scorer. The 76ers have had flashes of being dominant, but they just haven’t been able to put full games together.

Without Scottie Barnes in the lineup, the Raptors lose a versatile wing who can defend the perimeter – leaving either Maxey or Harden free to do some damage.

On top of that, Toronto doesn’t have a big that can legitimately hold Embiid. Philly should dominate inside and have at least one threat on the outside to get the offense flowing.

Trust Philly to start a winning streak and not be too inconsistent to start the year.
