The Vancouver Whitecaps are streaking against the Seattle Sounders, and it's not a positive one.

Seattle has not lost any of their last 14 matches against Vancouver, going all the way back five-plus years in April of 2017.

Tonight, they'll try to change their fate as both teams have played excellent soccer over their last several matches. Seattle has won three of their last four, while Vancouver have won four of their last six.

The Sounders are massive favorite at home, but can the White Caps steal points on the road?

Here are the latest odds for the lone game of the night on the MLS calendar over at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Sounders vs. Whitecaps Odds and Total

Odds:

  • Sounders -140
  • Whitecaps +390
  • Draw +280

Total:

  • 2.5 (OVER -120 | UNDER -105)

Sounders vs. Whitecaps Prediction and Pick

If there's ever been a time for Vancouver to end their massive streak without a win against Seattle, this year is the opportunity. Seattle began the season with just two wins in their first eight games, and via MLSSoccer.com, they've allowed a goal in 18 of their last 19 matches.

Raul Ruidiaz scored the game winners in the Sounders' last two victories, and he's killed the White Caps over his career. Since his MLS career began in 2018, no other player in the league has scored more against Vancouver than Ruidiaz.

So why back Vancouver to pull off the draw? The White Caps have been the better team overall this year thanks to Seattle's early season struggles, and have hung tough all season long. The Sounders have also been the worst first half team in MLS this year, so if Vancouver can hold them off early and take away the home crowd, they can play their defensive style and look for the tie.

Seattle live in the second half is also another play on the board, but I see this being neck-in-neck throughout.

LEAN: DRAW +280
