Sparks vs. Lynx prediction and odds for Thursday, July 20 (Which team snaps losing streak?)
By Reed Wallach
The Lynx and Sparks are each in dire need of a win.
Minnesota hosts Los Angeles after dropping four straight games while LA enters after losing six in a row, going nearly a month without a win. The Sparks have fallen off big time on offense while the Lynx can't get stops at all, allowing more than 100 in two of three losses.
Can the Lynx get back on track at home? Here are the odds and our best bet:
Sparks vs. Lynx odds, spread and total
Sparks vs. Lynx prediction and pick
The Sparks haven't won a game in July as the team has a net rating of -19.0 in four losses. The Sparks have the worst defense in the WNBA and the second worst offense in the league in that span and will try to get back on track on the road against a Lynx team that is struggling on defense, second worst in the league in the month of July.
However, the Lynx have been capable on offense, eight in offensive rating in the month of July. Minnesota has a near four percent edge on the Sparks in terms of effective field goal percentage, which is going to be the difference in this one.
Los Angeles can't get it going on offense, and the team has been awful on the road, 2-7 against the spread away from home this season.
I'll take Minnesota to snap the skid and get back in the win column.
