Two Atlantic 10 teams meet on Friday night with eyes on rounding into form as the calendar flips to February between St. Bonaventure and Richmond.

The defending A-10 champs Bonnies have fallen short of expectations in their repeat quest but the Spiders have also struggled this season as both teams find themselves firmly on the bubble heading into this one.

Is Richmond due for some positive regression? Can St. Bonaventure's short rotation find a second wind? Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook before we dish out a best bet.

St. Bonaventure vs. Richmond Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • St. Bonaventure: +4 (-110)
  • Richmond: -4 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • St. Bonaventure: +150
  • Richmond: -180

Total: 139 (Over -110/Under -110)

St. Bonaventure vs. Richmond Prediction and Pick

I have been fading St. Bonaventure a ton lately, to success mind you, as I see their short rotation starting to catch up to them. Mark Schmidt essentially trots out a five man roster with a compact zone defense.

However, this is starting to be exposed as teams that play from the perimeter can hoist shots with little resistance. Look at Davidson on Tuesday, who won outright as three-point underdogs in a high scoring affair.

Now, the Bonnies head to Richmond, who are desperate for a win to stay in the Tournament mix. The Spiders have been a victim of poor shooting variance with an offense inside the top 30 in ShotQuality's adjusted offensive metrics. With that in mind, they are shooting below 30% from three in conference play on a 41% three-point rate. I believe that the team is due for some positive bounces at home in a big time matchup. Besides the shooting, Richmond is tops in turnover rate and I expect them to use their back door cuts and floater game to avoid the length of Bonnies big man Osun Osunniyi. Spiders center Grant Golden is a perimeter-oriented big and great passer, he can bust up this zone with his vision.

Ultimately, I see Richmond trending up despite their record not showing it while the Bonnies remain a fade until the market reacts. I was able to bet this at -3.5 last night (you can find my bets in real time on BetStamp here) but I still like this at -4.

PICK: Richmond -4
