St. Bonaventure lost just about everyone from their NIT Semifinalist from last season and things are not going nearly as well for the team in the 2022-23 campaign.

The Bonnies are already halfway to their loss total from a year ago at 6-5 and they have a very real chance of falling to .500 well over a month into the season when they play Siena on the road tonight. The Siena Saints are 5-5 after back-to-back losses on the road.

Here are the odds for this non-conference matchup in the northeast.

St. Bonaventure vs. Siena Prediction and Odds

The Bonnies are very slight favorites on the road in this one with both teams coming off consecutive losses. Their last outing was a 71-58 loss to FGCU. It was a game where they shot the ball pretty well from outside the arc, but they didn’t get much to fall from two. They were 8-23 from deep and 11-33 from two. That’s never going to get it done and maybe there will be some shooting regression that comes their way from around the basket in this game.

However, St. Bonaventure has yet to win a game on the road this season.

Siena is 2-1 at home and they’ll be happy to get back there after losing their last two games on the road. In their loss to Delaware, Javian McCollum, their leading scorer, played poorly with just nine points and four assists in 36 minutes. He will be better against the Bonnies and this game could be decided by whose lead-guard is better. McCollum averages 16.7 points and 4.5 assists and the Bonnies leading scorer is Daryl Banks III. The 6-foot-3 junior guard averages 16.5 points, but is shooting 28.6% from three in games away from home.

This game will be very close, but I think Siena and McCollum have a slight advantage being at home and they play at a much faster pace than St. Bonaventure, so they’ll be able to survive if they aren’t hitting shots.
