St. Louis vs. Memphis Prediction and Odds: Play the Contrarian Under
By Reed Wallach
Memphis is one of the most hyped teams in all of college basketball heading into the 2021-22 season, but it will face its first challenge of the year against St. Louis at home.
With a nice blend of youth in Emoni Bates and Jalen Duren and veterans like Landers Nolley and Alex Lomax, can the Tigers make a statement against a team that hopes to be in the mix in the Atlantic 10.
Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

St. Louis vs. Memphis Prediction and Pick
Memphis has all the makings of an elite team this season. However, it may take some time to for this roster to gel before they get to their optimal state. Against lowly opponents Tennessee Tech and North Carolina Central, the Tigers turned it over on more than 23% of their possessions.
Now they will face a stout defense in St. Louis that is consistently in the top third of the country in forcing turnovers. While this is a relatively new group, coach Travis Ford continues to have his team thriving on the defensive side of the floor, last season the team was top ten in opponent's offensive rebounding rate.
Even if Memphis wants to run, I see this game being a bit sloppy and the Billikens trying to turn this game into a grind, knowing they can't get into a high scoring affair with the uber-talented Tiers.
Ultimately, I lean towards the under as Memphis faces their first legitimate test against a physical defense.
PICK: Under 143.5
