The defending PAC-12 Champions continue to build their case as a contender once again, who will be into the conference title game if they run the table.

It starts on Saturday as the Utes play host to lowly Stanford as massive favorites. Will Cameron Rising and the Utes keep it rolling an improve to 8-2, or can Stanford hang around and bounce back after losing 52-14 at home last week to Washington State?

Stanford vs. Utah Prediction and Pick

It's tough to have any faith in Stanford to hang on in this matchup against Utah. The Cardinal are outside the top 100 in a myriad of stats such as points per drive, line yards, yards per carry and turnovers lost. With injuries along the offensive line and to running back Casey Filkins, the offense has been helpless.

It doesn't get much better on the defensive side of the ball as the team has allowed the 10th highest yards per play mark in the country and allows nearly six yards per carry. Utah will have little issue moving up and down the field against Stanford in this one as the Utes boast the ninth best success rate in the country and do a great job of protecting Rising, allowing only seven sacks on the year.

Is there an incentive for the Utes to run this score up with a top 10 opponent on deck in Oregon on deck? Possibly not, but I don't believe that we have found the floor on Stanford yet and this Utes offense is humming at the moment. In games that Rising has started, the team has scored at least 30 points in seven straight games. They are averaging 43 points in those games and they should be able to get to that mark once again against a far inferior opponent.
