Stars vs Flames Game 7 Prediction and Odds for Sunday, May 15th (Bet on Defenses to Shine in Elimination Game)
By Matt De Saro
The Dallas Stars and Calgary Flame are set for a decisive Game 7 tonight to put the lid on what has been an intense six games. Despite the back and forth nature of this series, the Flames are heavily favored as they head back to the Scotiabank Saddledome for Game 7.
Despite the mismatch on paper, the Wild-card Stars have proven that they are not just going to lay down and show their bellies to Calgary. After blowing an early two-game lead, the Stars recovered to force a Game 7 thanks to a go-ahead goal by Miro Heiskanen late in the second period.

Stars vs. Flames Prediction and Pick
This is the third playoff run in a row that the Stars have been a part of a Game 7 after beating Colorado two years ago and the Blues in 2019. This team is also 3-0 in Game 7s over the last three seasons. Calgary, on the other hand, has lost six of their last seven Game 7 appearances with their last win coming in 1999.
This series has been rather low-scoring with four games ending with five goals or less and no game going over six. Both Jame Oettinger and Jacob Markstrom have been sharp in goal during their time on the ice this series. The two first-string goaltenders are expected to start the most important game either of these teams has played this year.
The Flames continue to be one of the hardest teams in the NHL to score on after finishing the season third in goals against per game at 2.5. The Stars, meanwhile, ranked 21st in the league in scoring during the regular season. I think that tonight we see another tight game that is dominated by defense and goaltending.
Pick: Under 5.5 (-135)
