Stars vs. Sharks Prediction and Odds (San Jose Ready to Get Back on Track on Home Ice)
By Matt De Saro
The San Jose Sharks are hoping that a return home tonight can put a halt to their current skid. The Sharks are 1-3 in their last four games and 3-6 in their last nine heading into the weekend. San Jose hosts the Dallas Stars in Saturday’s nightcap.
The Stars are 5-1 in their last six games after beating Anaheim on Thursday night 3-2 in overtime. The Stars' offense is clicking right now and has scored less than three goals just once in their six games.
Things aren’t quite as good on the Sharks' side and they have gone under 3 goals in three of their last four games and haven’t scored more than four goals in a game since early March.

Stars vs. Sharks Prediction and Pick
I have no doubt that the Dallas Stars are playing better hockey right now. From top to bottom, things have been looking up for the Stars. And while the same cannot be said for San Jose, I still think they might be the better play here.
While the Stars are winning, they are winning close games and not covering at a high enough rate for me to feel comfortable. The Stars are 0-3 ATS in their last three wins and have only covered once in a victory since March 6.
I think that the Stars do end up winning here, but fail to cover for the fourth straight game. These two teams have played five straight games that ended in a single goal difference. Let’s hope for more of the same tonight in San Jose. There is not a ton of value on the puck line here but I think the Sharks are worth a look nonetheless.
Pick: Sharks +1.5 (-195)
