Steelers vs. Bills Prediction: Pittsburgh’s Secondary Is On Life Support and Josh Allen Will Pull the Plug
By Josh Yourish
The Pittsburgh Steelers season is on the ropes right now and they’ve turned things over to the savior, Kenny Pickett. He’s an upgrade for sure, they also make a step up in weight class after a 24-20 loss to the Jets to face the Buffalo Bills in Week 5.
Mike Tomlin’s defense knocked off Buffalo in Week 1 last year, but with no TJ Watt, things might go a little different this time around.

Steelers vs. Bills Odds, Spread and Total Movement in NFL Week 5
The spread opened at 9.5 originally but due to Pittsburgh’s injury report and some serious love for Buffalo it has jumped to 14 and held there all week.
Steelers vs. Bills Prediction and Pick
The Steelers secondary is already a weakness of the team. Outside of Minkah Fitzpatrick, they have no elite players and Akhello Witherspoon, who San Francisco gave away for a fifth round pick before last season, is their No. 1 corner. The Bills even needed help at corner and let Levi Wallace walk to Pittsburgh this offseason. Not only are they a weakness of the team, but they are also hurt.
Every single starter in the secondary on the injury report, not to mention Cameron Heyward who is their best player up front with TJ Watt out. Speaking of TJ Watt, the Steelers have still not won a single game since 2017 when Watt does not play, and he will be out again this week.
Pittsburgh has started the year 1-3 and it’s about to get a whole lot worse. The Bills actually need a bounce back after a loss to Miami and a very close game with Baltimore. This is the perfect spot against a rookie quarterback making his first start and a depleted defense. We could see the backups in the fourth quarter for Buffalo as they sit on a massive lead.
As a Steelers fan, I refuse to bet against Pittsburgh, but I would advise you not to adhere to the same policy.
Pick: Bills -14
