Steelers vs. Browns Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 8
By Matt De Saro
The 3-3 Pittsburgh Steelers head to First Energy Stadium to face off against the (4-3) Cleveland Browns in Week 8.
The Steelers come into this game with the benefit of extra rest due to a Week 7 bye and had back-to-back wins before that. Their last game was a close one, beating the Seahawks 23-20 at home in overtime. Despite a .500 record, the Steelers have covered just one game so far this year.
The Browns also come off a win their last game out, and a shorthanded one at that as Baker Mayfield Nick Chubb, and Kareem Hunt all dealt with untimely injuries. Can a banged-up Browns team make it two in a row or will the Steelers continue to play better each week and leave their early-season losing streak behind them?

Steelers vs. Browns Prediction and Pick
The story in the lead-up to this game will be the health of Baker Mayfield, who is currently listed as questionable. While he has yet to be ruled out, we do know that he didn’t practice with the team early on this week.
On top of Mayfield, Kareem Hunt will be out for at least another few weeks. The good news from Cleveland is that Nick Chubb, who missed the last two games with a calf injury, practiced with the team Monday. Case Keenum and Nick Mullens were handling QB duties with Mayfield sidelined. Other injuries that are haunting the Browns include WR Odell Beckham, RT Jack Conklin, and S John Johnson.
The Steelers, meanwhile, are relatively healthy and coming off an extra week of rest heading into Cleveland. The Steelers have also had good results against the Browns traditionally, covering four of the last six games between the two. The Browns, on the other hand, have terrible ATS results against the NFC North.
The Brown’s injuries make me very wary to trust them this weekend, especially as 3.5 point favorites. With Mayfield and Chubb may be playing, but not at 100%, I think this is a great spot for the Steelers to pull out an upset win.
Prediction: Steelers +155 to win
