The Jacksonville Jaguars are 0-2 in the preseason under Doug Pederson this year and have really struggled offensively. Saturday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Jags are a favorite at home despite their preseason struggles.

Pittsburgh on the other side won its first preseason game with a game-winning drive by their first-round pick, Kenny Pickett. This one will be a matchup with three quarterbacks that were the first signal caller selected in their draft. Mitch Trubisky will get the start for Pittsburgh, Trevor Lawrence will see time in his second year for Jacksonville, and now it appears that Kenny Pickett will be the No. 2 QB for the Steelers.

Will Pickett continue to shine in the preseason? Will Lawrence and the Jags turn things around? We will find out and first let’s check the odds for this one at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Steelers vs. Jaguars Odds, Spread and Total Movement in NFL Preseason Week 2

The total has stayed put at 42.5 throughout the week at WynnBET Sportsbook, but there has been some slight movement towards Pittsburgh. When the line opened the Jaguars were -3.5 favorites and are now -3, I wouldn’t be surprised if it kept moving that way right up until kickoff.

Steelers vs. Jaguars Best Bet and Prediction

The big story in Pittsburgh this week is Kenny Pickett leapfrogging Mason Rudolph for the second spot in the depth chart behind Mitch Trubisky. Pickett has been receiving more “varsity reps” as Mike Tomlin likes to say and will be the second QB off the bench in Jacksonville on Saturday.

Pickett was excellent last week. Offensive coordinator Matt Canada did not have him make many downfield throws, but Pickett’s poise was impressive and his legs are certainly an asset. He went 13/15 for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

Trevor Lawrence is clearly the best QB in this game, but after that it might be Pickett. Not only will Pickett likely see more playing time than Lawrence, but he will also be facing the No. 2 and 3 defense for Jacksonville.

Pickett to George Pickens may finally become a reality this week and the Steelers are a good bet as a road dog.

Pick: Steelers +145
