Steve Stricker Announces Team USA Captain's Picks for Ryder Cup
Nothing is quite like the Ryder Cup.
Excitement, intensity, patriotism, electricity; the biennial golf tournament has it all.
The 2021 edition of the tournament is set to begin on September 24th, and Team USA captain Steve Stricker announced his six captains picks this morning.
If you're unfamiliar, six players from the United States automatically qualify based on season standings, and then the captain chooses the other six golfers to make up the full team of 12.

Ryder Cup Odds & Preview
WynnBET has released odds to win the event, and Team USA is set as a -190 (bet $190 to profit $100) favorite over Team Europe, who will enter as the +185 (bet $100 to profit $185) underdog. You can also bet on the tournament ending in a draw, which last happened in 1989, at +1100.
The top names that were left off the roster includes Patrick Reed, Kevin Na, and Kevin Kisner. Reed has been dealing with some health issues that had him hospitalized for a short period. Na has been hot lately, but didn’t do quite enough to justify leapfrogging any other golfers. There was a hot debate online whether or not Kisner deserved to be on the roster, especially after his recent win at the Wyndham Championship, but his inconsistency and not-great-fit for the venue left him off the list.
Team Europe has won six of the last eight Ryder Cup events, but Team USA won the last time that it was hosted in the United States.
This year’s edition of the tournament is set to begin on September 24th at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin.
