Sun vs. Aces Prediction and Odds for Game 2 of WNBA Finals (Roll With Aces on Tuesday Night)
Game 1 of the WNBA Finals was a thriller, with the Aces escaping with a three-point win. Las Vegas was nearly a 7-point favorite heading into Game 1. The oddsmakers have given Connecticut more respect going into Game 2, expecting an even closer game this time around.
If the Aces are able to hold serve tonight, the Sun would be forced to win three straight games if they want to be the champs. This is a huge swing game. Let's dive into how to bet it.

Sun vs. Aces Prediction and Pick
While Game 1 was fun and close, don’t expect the same amount of drama in Game 2. The Aces created separation down the stretch of the game and were en route to winning by nearly double digits. They had three turnovers in the last two minutes that gave the Sun four points and a chance to tie the game. Las Vegas’ late game execution should be much better in the second game, leading me to back them on the spread.
A’ja Wilson was dominant, as well as Chelsea Gray. The No. 1 thing the Aces should hang their hat on is the fact that Kelsey Plum shot 11.1% from the field and they still left victorious. Expect less turnovers and more buckets from Las Vegas – leading to a 2-0 series lead tonight. – Donnavan Smoot
Pick: Aces -4.5 (-114)
If I’ve learned anything over the course of this postseason, it’s that the consistent trends from the regular season aren’t holding any water in the postseason, especially as of late.
Take the Aces on Sunday. In their first four playoff games, they were awful at home in the 1st quarter with a net rating of -18.6. In the 2nd quarter, they turn it around with a +41.4 net rating in their arena. On Sunday vs. Connecticut, they were the complete opposite; outscoring the Sun by 8 in the 1st, only to be outscored 21-9 in the second.
For Game 2, not letting up in the second quarter will be a huge coaching point for Becky Hammon and company; as it lead to Connecticut overtaking the lead and being a thorn in their side throughout the matchup. The Sun are good, but they’re not going to hold the Aces to a true shooting percentage of 28.3% again.
Following Game 1, the Aces’ 2nd quarter net rating at home dropped from +41.4 down to +21.3. Five games is a decent enough sample for me to trust them again to keep their foot on the petal, and go into halftime with a sizable lead. – Ben Heisler
Pick: Aces 1H -2.5 (-102)
