Suns vs. Jazz Prediction and Odds (Bet Phoenix, But Wait for Injury Report)
By Reed Wallach
A battle of two Western Conference playoff teams meet in Utah with different motivations.
The Phoenix Suns have the best record in the NBA, 63-17, but could be resting some key players as they travel to face the Jazz, who can win the Northwest Division with a win on Friday.
As of this writing, there is no injury report on the Suns, so let's asses how that factors into a bet on this one, by first looking at the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:
Suns vs. Jazz Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Suns: +2.5 (-110)
- Jazz: -2.5 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Suns: +115
- Jazz: -140
Total: 228 (Over -110/Under -110)
Suns vs. Jazz Prediction and Pick
It's always a tricky balance to figure out how to react to injury news, but I'd be willing to wait on the Suns injury report before betting on this one. If the team's key rotation pieces, including Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton and more are ruled in, than the line will shift towards Phoenix, but it's not worth catching the downside if they are ruled out.
If Phoenix is down most of their typical rotation, I would suggest betting the Suns right before tip off. Monty Williams' team doesn't know how to not compete no mater who is in. The team erased a 39-point deficit to cover as 7-point road underdogs to the Clippers on Wednesday night.
I like Phoenix, with any roster construction on Friday, to play hard and put the pressure on a Jazz team that is still struggling to close out games, evident when the team let a short handed Grizzlies team force overtime against them at home earlier in the week.
I'll wait and see, but will be on the Suns in some fashion in this potential Western Conference playoff preview.
