The Pelicans head home facing a 3-2 series deficit against the No. 1 seed Phoenix Suns after a 15-point loss on the road in Game 5.

Willie Green's New Orleans Pelicans have fought admirably to extend this series against the Devin Booker-less Suns, and now will look to force a deciding Game 7 back in Phoenix this season. Can they do it? Let's breakdown where we stand heading into Game 6 at Smoothie King Center.

Suns vs. Pelicans Prediction and Pick

A lot of this series has been determined by 3-point shooting, the Suns shot 10-of-27 from 3 while the Pelicans shot 5-of-25 in Game 5, but I think that the result of Tuesday's meeting is misleading.

The Pelicans dug themselves a hole early with turnovers, but went toe-to-toe with the Suns for much of the game. The game got away from them, but the team was able to win the rebounding margin for the 5th straight game (+7). Back at home, I'm going to bank on some shooting regression in each direction and the Pels elite shot making with Brandon Ingram and C.J. McCollum to carry them to a seventh game.

Chris Paul has been working extra hard without Devin Booker this past week, playing 38 minutes and was shown looking exhausted throughout Game 5. Meanwhile, Mikal Bridges logged nearly 47 of the 48 minutes on Tuesday and now has to get ready for a similar effort on the road with one day of rest.

The longer this series goes, the more I see New Orleans growing into it while Phoenix begins to gas out. Yes, home underdogs in Game 6 are a losing endeavor, but I can't shake what my eyes are telling me. This series is closer than the Game 5 margin indicated, I think the Pelicans for a deciding matchup.

LEAN: Pelicans +2 (-108)
