We all know the Detroit Pistons are one of the worst teams in the NBA this season. But they have caught a hot streak at home and have actually won four games in a row in Detroit. The Pistons are 3-1 ATS during that time. Those wins were by no means against easy teams mind you. The Pistons straight up beat the Jazz and Raptors in addition to wins over the Spurs and Magic.

They will face another good team tonight in the Phoenix Suns. Will the Pistons’ hot streak continue or will the rebuilding team fall back to earth? The Suns have won five of their last six and are 4-1-1 ATS in those games, including two wins on their recent road trip. The Suns have the best record in the NBA, 32-9. They have a 1.5 game lead in the West and Pacific Division over the Golden State Warriors.

Suns vs. Pistons Prediction and Pick

Following their run to the NBA Finals last year, the Suns continue to prove the haters wrong. They have a very strong starting five, role players that contribute at a high level, and a good coaching staff at their backs. The trio of Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker, and Chris Paul can run with anyone and will cause a lot of issues for the Pistons on defense.

One positive for the Pistons heading into this game has been their success playing at home. They are on a four-game win streak in home games and are 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six home games thanks to the play of Cade Cunningham and Killian Hayes. The duo of young backcourt stars is the key to the Pistons being able to keep pace with the Suns. Both are above-average defenders who could slow down the Suns' backcourt on offense.

While the Suns have a top 5 offense and defense, the Pistons are hot and playing good ball at home. This should be an “easy” win for the Suns but I don’t see a blowout on the schedule today. I’ll take the points and the home team for this Sunday afternoon tilt.

Pick: Detroit Pistons +11.5 (-110)
