Suns vs. Thunder Prediction and Odds (Expect High-Scoring Contest)
By Joe Summers
After a rare loss to the Grizzlies snapped a nine-game winning streak, the 62-15 Phoenix Suns hope to get back in the win column as they take on the 22-55 Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at 7:00 PM EST.
Oklahoma City has lost back-to-back games, but have been one of the best bets in basketball this season, going 46-27-4 against the spread (ATS).
Phoenix has three double-digit victories over the Thunder this year, but will be without Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton today. Can Chris Paul lead the Suns to another dominant win regardless or will Oklahoma City stay a feisty home underdog?
Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook as we look for value in this Suns vs Thunder matchup:

- Thunder +14.5 (-110)
Moneyline:

- Thunder +800
Total:

Suns vs Thunder Prediction and Pick
Games like these are always tough. Phoenix is going to win comfortably and it's likely they have a large lead the entire game. As a result, the Thunder will have ample opportunity to grab a backdoor cover while Phoenix gets to relax a bit ahead of the playoffs. That's certainly worrisome. But it's also possible the Suns just cruise to a 20-point win and call it a day.
So, what do we do? How about we look to the total? Oklahoma City's defense has been a disaster of late, giving up over 130 points in two of their last three games. Phoenix has the fifth-best assist percentage (how many baskets come from an assist) in the league over their last 15 games, so their ball movement should frustrate a struggling, inexperienced Thunder defense.
Without Ayton, I expect Phoenix's defense to be a step below what it's been all season, giving Oklahoma City an opportunity to score as well.
The over is 6-1 in the Suns' last seven road games and 15-5 in the Thunder's previous 20. It's been an especially strong bet when Oklahoma City is at home, going 11-2 in the last 13 at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
I'll stick with those trends and think the total is a few points too low. Give me the over as we celebrate each missed defensive assignment and fast-break bucket.
Pick: Over 221.5 (-110)
