TCU vs. Iowa State Prediction, Odds, Against Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 13
By Matt De Saro
Big 12 rivals the TCU Horned Frogs and Iowa State Cyclones do battle on Friday afternoon at Jack Trice Stadium. TCU enters Week 13 with a 5-6 overall record and 3-5 in conference play after a tight 31-28 win over the Kansas Jayhawks. TCU had a very successful day on offense with 492 yards but committed two critical turnovers that almost cost them the game. Their defense was less than stellar and allowed Kansas to rack up 379 yards. QB Max Duggan had 166 yards and an interception in a quiet game for the Junior.
On the flip side, Iowa State fell to 6-5 on the season and an even 4-4 in the Big 12 after losing to Oklahoma 28-21. They are bowl-eligible but would like to finish the season with a winning record. Three untimely turnovers cost them a chance at winning this game and they will be looking to bounce back ahead of Bowl Week.

TCU vs. Iowa State Prediction and Pick
As is the case with many teams in Week 13, TCU needs to pick a win here to have a shot at playing in a Bowl Game. Iowa State, meanwhile, doesn’t need this win necessarily but will be gunning for a bounce back after their disappointing game against Oklahoma.
The problems I have with TCU in this spot are as follows. First off, Iowa State is just a better team overall. TCU has also been dealing with several injuries and a new HC in November to adjust to. The biggest issue I have with TCU to win this game is that they are on short rest, on the road, and playing a game that will likely be nearing freezing temperatures. TCU would need to have everything go perfect for them to win and I just don’t see that happening. I do think they keep it competitive and cover this double-digit spread with relative ease.
Pick: TCU +15.5 (-110)
