The TCU Horned Frogs picked a hell of a time to catch fire and are coming off back-to-back victories over the Texas Tech Red Raiders and No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks.

TCU gets a chance tonight to prove that its win over Kansas was not a fluke and is playing the Jayhawks again tonight just two days removed from their upset win.

But TCU has had a very tough stretch of games and one has to wonder how much they have left in the tank for a home game against a pissed-off Jayhawks team.

The Jayhawks fell to second in the Big 12 behind the Baylor Bears and have just two games left to make up ground. Kansas is also riding a two-game losing streak to TCU and Baylor and has some work to do if they hope to catch back up over their next four halves of play.

Here are the odds for this Big 12 battle, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

TCU vs. Kansas Odds, Spread, and Total

Spread:

  • TCU +11.5 (-110)
  • Kansas -11.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • TCU +500
  • Kansas -700

Total: 143 (Over -110/Under -110)

TCU vs. Kansas Prediction and Pick

Despite their recent struggles in conference play, the Jayhawks are still one of the most dangerous offensive teams in the nation.

They rank 15th in offensive scoring with an average of 79.1 points per game. They are also one of the best teams in the conference in assists per game, rebounds per game, and average score margin. Basically, they are not a team to sleep on despite two straight losses.

I think TCU knows this and will adjust accordingly. But, I struggle to find the faith to bet on TCU to upset Kansas twice in the same week. I hate to say it but that win feels like it had a lot of luck involved. Especially considering that TCU’s offense is 224th in scoring.

The Horned Frogs do have the nation’s 31st best scoring defense, but I think that Kansas will take the lessons they learned in the last loss into this game. I just don’t see a team as good as Kansas falling apart completely in the last two weeks of the season and want to take them on a bounce-back here. Problem is, the spread is massive at 11.5.

With TCU coming off a recent victory over Kansas, this line doesn’t add up to me and I'll be taking the Horned Frogs to cover their second game in a row against Kansas.

Pick: TCU +11.5 (-110)
