TCU vs. Oklahoma State Prediction and Odds (Horned Frogs on the Cusp of a National Ranking)
By Matt De Saro
BIG 12 action continues on Wednesday night when the TCU Horned Frogs head to Oklahoma to take on the OK-State Cowboys. The Horned Frogs are winners of two straight, are 2-1 in the BIG 12, and are on the cusp of being ranked in the top 25. Overall, TCU is 12-2 and has only lost a shocker to Santa Clara and then #1 Baylor by only eight points. During their short win streak, the Frogs have victories over Kansas State and Oklahoma. Their win over Oklahoma was a thriller that ended 59-58 in overtime.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State is just treading water right now at 9-7 with a 2-3 record in the BIG 12. However, they are coming off a massively impressive win over the No. 1 team in the nation, the Baylor Bears. The Cowboys not only won, and not only won on the road, but they beat Baylor by seven. How much of a fluke that game was remains to be seen. But, it definitely makes me second guess taking TCU as an underdog here.

TCU vs. Oklahoma State Prediction and Pick
This TCU team has been all over the map this season and is incredibly hard to pin down. First, they come out of the gate with a 7-1 overall record. They, they follow that up with a 2-6 slump including a 2-3 mark in conference play. And just when things were getting to the point of no return, they come out and smack Baylor around on the road. It was the first time in more than five years that Baylor has lost two in a row at home. The Cowboys led the entire game, but almost blew it in the end after giving up most of a 17-point lead.
What makes this game exciting to me is that both teams play a similar style of basketball. They play fast-paced games and don’t really put a lot of effort into ball security or making “good shots.” They each play a very fast and loose style of game that I personally quite enjoy.
Additionally, this game will be a battle in the paint with neither team having much success from behind the arc. TCU does have a significant edge in the rebounding game and that, I think, is where they win this game. Any team that is tenacious on the boards is a team I like and the Horned Frogs are just such a team.
The Horned Frogs are fighting for a top 25 ranking and I think they rebound their way to an upset win on the road against Ok-State.
Pick: TCU Horned Frogs +170 to win
