TCU vs. West Virginia Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 9
By Reed Wallach
The TCU Horned Frogs stayed unbeaten last week, rallying from down two touchdowns to knock off another Big 12 contender in Kansas State.
Will this Horned Frogs group ever slow down? The team has had a rigorous schedule this season, and now hit the road to face a West Virginia squad that is fresh off a drubbing by the hands of Texas Tech.
Will the Mountaineers bounce back off of the blowout loss? They have played far better at home this season, including a win against Baylor two weeks ago. Can they play spoiler to TCU's perfect season?
Here are the odds for this Big 12 showdown:
TCU vs. West Virginia Odds, Spread and Total

- TCU is 5-2 to the OVER this season
TCU vs. West Virginia Prediction and Pick
West Virginia has been frisky at home, but it's tough to trust this Mountaineers team to hold down the explosive Horned Frogs team that has scored 38 or more points every single game this season.
The Mountaineers secondary is outside the top 100 in both success rate and EPA/Pass and should struggle to keep up with the explosive TCU offense that is top 20 nationally in explosive run and pass rate as well as third in yards per play.
This Horned Frogs offense is a wagon with Max Duggan pushing the buttons at quarterback and I expect more fireworks in this game. The total is pushing 70, but I'm not interested in backing West Va given that their defense has struggled to stop anybody in Big 12 play. The team has allowed at least 38 points in their four conference games this season.
I'll trust TCU to do the same on Saturday and back them to go over their team total, which is projected to be at 38, a magic number for TCU this season.
PICK: TCU Team Total OVER 38
