The defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers will get their second taste of the preseason on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. EST against the Tennessee Titans.

Tennessee dominated the Atlanta Falcons in their preseason opener with a 23-3 win, despite sitting key starters such as Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry.

Unlike the Titans, Tampa Bay played Tom Brady (albeit he only attempted two passes) in its preseason opener. Brady will face his former teammate, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, but will the Bucs avenge their loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1?

Here’s how the odds look at WynnBET:

Titans vs. Buccaneers Spread, Odds and Over/Under

Spread:

Buccaneers -1.0 (-110)

Titans +1.0 (-110)

Moneyline:

Buccaneers: -115

Titans: -105

Over/Under: 35.0 (Over: -110/Under: -110)

Buccaneers vs. Titans Betting Trends

  • Bruce Arians’ teams are 12-11-3 against the spread in his preseason career.
  • Mike Vrabel’s teams are 3-6 against the spread in his preseason career.
  • Mike Vrabel’s teams are 3-5-1 against the over in his preseason career.
  • The under was 14-3 in Week 1 preseason games, including 2-0 in the Titans and Bucs matchups.

Buccaneers vs. Titans Prediction and Pick

The Buccaneers were heavily favored in Week 1 of the preseason, but they burned bettors with the loss to the Bengals.

It’s one thing to play starters, but it’s another to only give them a series. Both of these teams are looking like they won’t play their starters for an extended period of time, which is going to lead to me taking the under in this one.

Tennessee’s backups dominated the Falcons, but I’m not going to back them again to cover the spread as an underdog after they went 3-3 in those situations last season. Vrabel’s teams don’t normally cover in the preseason, and they only covered in seven of 17 games last year, so give me the Bucs to take a low-scoring affair.
