Houston covered last week as a 7-point underdog, and it’ll be tasked to do it again as a big underdog this week. The Texans are 10-point underdogs to the Broncos this week, with Denver coming off a loss to the Seahawks on Monday night.

There’s so many moving parts coming into this game, so let’s dive into so props and handicap some player performances.

Here are three prop bets to key in on for Texans-Broncos Week 2.

Best Prop Bets For Texans-Broncos Week 2

  • Melvin Gordon UNDER 56.5 Rushing Yards
  • Courtland Sutton OVER 4.5 Receptions
  • Rex Burkhead OVER 36.5 Rushing Yards

Melvin Gordon UNDER 56.5 Rushing Yards

Last season, Gordon went under this line in half of his games, making it a 50/50 proposition. Gordon had 12 carries last week for 58 yards, an extremely efficient day. I don’t think he'll be as utilized in the run game, as Javonte Williams had 11 catches – dominating the passing game – and only seven carries. Williams is going to see more touches on the ground, relegating Gordon to a pass-catching role.

Courtland Sutton OVER 4.5 Receptions

Sutton had four catches last week and that was with the Broncos’ offense looking pedestrian. Denver wasn’t able to get anything going in the air until after the first quarter. Expect for that to be changed this week. The Texans gave up 340 passing yards last week to the Colts. If Russell Wilson and the Broncos can match that level of play, Sutton will be a big part of the game.

Rex Burkhead Over 33.5 Rushing Yards

In a shock to many people Rex Burkhead was on the field for not only the passing downs, but to carry the ball as well. Burkhead had 14 carries last week for 40 yards. Even though that’s terrible efficiency, the fact that Burkhead is going to be on the field raises his ceiling tremendously. If Burkhead can be slightly more efficient, he’ll be able to overcome a potential drop in carries.
