Texas A&M's late surge to the NCAA Tournament picked up some serioius momentum after the team beat SEC Tournament No. 1 seed Auburn 67-62 on Friday afternoon.
Buzz Williams' Texas A&M team is now firmly in the mix for an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament with an opportunity to move into the field of 68 with a win on Saturday.
Texas A&M March Madness Resume
The Aggies moved to up the ladder on Joe Lunardi's 'Next Four Out' tier, standing as the fifth team outside the field. However, Texas A&M can continue to build their candidacy with a matchup on Saturday afternoon against LSU or Arkansas while others are sitting at home waiting to hear their name called on Selection Sunday. Here is where A&M stands after Friday's win:

A&M's resume:
- Wins over Auburn, Arkansas, Alabama, Notre Dame
- 3-9 vs. Quad 1, 8-9 vs. Quads 1/2
- 2 Quad 3 losses (So Car, Mizzou)
- Subpar metrics (mostly in 50s -- but improving), poor NC SOS
- 9-7 R/N
Think it's tight.
Here's more information from noted bracketologist, Rocco Miller:
Texas A&M's strength of record just jumped from 57th to 48th. KPI Rating was at 69 however this AM, seems to hurt on that front.

Aggies replace BYU in Last Four Out now, I believe.
The Auburn Tigers will not be a 1-seed. #SEC
The Aggies still have more work to do, but a win against the winner of LSU and Arkansas may be enough to lift them into the field in what will be one of the best late season Tournament pushes recent memory.
Texas A&M Stuns Auburn
A&M beat the Tigers as 9.5 point underdogs behind stifling defense that limited Bruce Pearl's team to 9-of-36 3-point shooting.
The team got a game high 19 points from Tyrece Radford in order to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive, leading for the majority of the game en route to the biggest win of their season.
