Bryce Young is a game-time decision for Alabama this weekend against Texas A&M and while this isn’t the Crimson Tide’s fierce rival or even a ranked opponent in the SEC, this might be the No. 1 game circled on Nick Saban’s calendar. Saban and Jimbo Fisher exchanged words this summer over recruiting and Saban’s former assistant might get his team a little more fired up for this one.

Texas A&M vs. Alabama Prediction and Pick

Last week, we saw Will Rogers and Mississippi State throw all over Texas A&M’s defense. Rogers went for 329 and three touchdowns in the 42-24 win over the Aggies. This week if it’s Bryce Young on the field for Bama then he could go for even more than that. Bama’s passing attack can be lethal though they don’t have the same type of top receivers that they have had in recent years.

However, based on reports it’ll be Jalen Milroe, Young’s backup this weekend because he showed he can play very well when he came in last week against Arkansas.

Milroe only threw for 65 yards on four of nine passing, but he ran for 91 yards on six carries. Texas A&M has the 97th best rushing defense in the nation this year and Milroe will take advantage all day. Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 201 yards last week and might have another 200 this week against the Aggies.

The bigger quarterback injury is the one suffered by Max Johnson last week that thrusts Haynes King back into the lineup. King was replaced for a reason, the Aggies offense was abysmal with him and his time on the bench hasn’t seemed to help. He came in last week and went 6-for-13 for 49 yards and two interceptions.

It’s so many points, but Alabama is just too good and I don’t think a discouraged A&M team will be able to score with them at all.

Pick: Alabama -24.5 (-105)
