Texas, Indiana are Criminally Undervalued in Updated Women's March Madness Odds
By Peter Dewey
The Sweet 16 of the 2022 Women's NCAA Tournament is set, and there are a few teams that oddsmakers aren't giving much love to win the title.
No. 3 Indiana in the Bridgeport region and No. 2 Texas in the Spokane region are two teams that jump out on the odds list as potential dark horse candidates.
Before we get into why, let's take a look at the full odds at WynnBET to win the National Championship this season.

Don't Count Out Indiana in Sweet 16
Indiana, despite being a No. 3 seed, has the lowest odds on this list because it has to play UConn in the Sweet 16.
Now, I'm not saying the Huskies are going to be an easy team to upset, as I have UConn winning the National title myself, but if the Hoosiers can get past UConn, they are a scary team, especially with guard Grace Berger leading the way.
Indiana is 16th in Her Hoop Stats Rating this season, and it knocked off a tough defensive Princeton team in the second round to advance to the Sweet 16. The Huskies may be the toughest matchup the Hoosiers could face, especially in Bridgeport, Conn., but a win would put them in a great spot to take advantage of the longest odds on the board.
Texas Could Upset Stanford to Reach Final Four
The Texas Longhorns will play No. 6 Ohio State in the Sweet 16, and if they win that game, they'll likely play No. 1 Stanford in the Elite Eight.
Texas would potentially have to get through Stanford and UConn to reach the final, but this team ranks eighth in the country in Her Hoops Stats Rating and has a top-10 defensive rating.
The Longhorns are somehow at +5000, which is worse than Iowa State, who is in the same region as the favorite, South Carolina. The Longhorns dismantled No. 7 Utah in the second round, and they may be undervalued as a two seed that can make at least the Final Four.
