The Baylor Bears are a perfect 6-0 at home this season and will play host to the Texas Tech Raiders at McLane Stadium on Saturday morning. Baylor returns home with a 9-2 overall record after beating Kansas State 20-10 in a bit of a strange game. QB Gerry Bohanon had just 76 yards and a touchdown before he went down a leg injury. K-State QB Skylar Thompson was also knocked out of the game. Blake Shapen stepped up for the Bears and went 16-for-21 with 137 yards and no interceptions. Shapen added 44 yards on the ground.

With the Big 12 title game on the horizon, it would be reasonable to assume that Bohanon gets back to action in a “must-win” game for the Bears.

Texas Tech vs. Baylor Prediction and Pick

Texas Tech is coming off a shutout loss to Oklahoma State 23-0. The game was even worse than the final score makes it appear and Tech looked like a team that is taking a break until Bowl Week. Tech managed just 83 yards passing and 25 yards rushing in what could be only described as a terrible performance. The Red Raiders surrendered 427 yards and didn't force a single turnover.

Baylor was impressive in their most recent win, especially considering they did it with their backup QB handling the second half. Baylor needs to win this game if they have any chance to play in the Big 12 Championship game against Oklahoma State. To do so, they must win and Oklahoma has to lose against Oklahoma State in the Bedlam game.

After last week, I have zero faith in Texas Tech and will take Baylor to win and cover in a must-win spot.
