Texas Tech vs. Ohio State Prediction and Odds for Wednesday, November 23 (Red Raiders Defense is Key in Maui)
By Reed Wallach
Texas Tech and Ohio State took out their frustrations after a pair of losses to start their Maui Invitational campaign, but who can keep it rolling in the final game of their trip to Hawai'i?
The Red Raiders have a stout defense under Mark Adams once again, but face another elite offense in Ohio State, who is still plugging pieces in from the transfer portal this offseason. Both teams won big on Wednesday with Texas Tech blitzing Louisville 70-38 while Ohio State disposed of Cincinnati 81-53.
How will this Wednesday afternoon matchup go?

Texas Tech vs. Ohio State Prediction and Pick
This is the third straight game for these two teams and Texas Tech's no-middle defense is one of the toughest preps in the country. The Buckeyes pounded the rock inside and dominated at the rim and on the glass. Ohio State shot 54% on two-point shots while grabbing 19 offensive rebounds in the 28-point win. However, that won't be there against Texas Tech, who allows foes to shoot 40% from inside the arc.
The team forces the ball out along the perimeter and whiole Ohio State has capable shooters, they don't have the on-ball threats to create for others against this physical defense.
On the other side, Texas Tech's biggest issue is turnovers. Lucky for them, Ohio State doesn't force any. TTU is 312th in turnover rate thus far, but Ohio State is forcing them at the 309th highest rate in the country.
I trust this Red Raiders defense to get this team a win and finish Maui on a high note against a Ohio State team that is playing over its head on defense, teams have a 40.2% effective field goal percentage against them but ShotQuality rates this team outside hte top 60.
