After the Red Raiders smashed the Longhorns 77-64 in Lubbock in Texas head coach Chris Beard's first return to Lubbock since he left he left last season to coach at his alma mater.
Both two teams remain in striking distance for a Big 12 title, with Texas Tech in third place; 1.5 games back of Kansas, and Texas just one game back; 2.5 combined.
