The West Virginia Mountaineers and Texas Longhorns go head-to-head as both teams enter this game with identical 4-6 overall records and 2-5 marks in Big 12 play. While neither are particularly good this season, they match up well and should provide an entertaining game.

Both are also coming off back-to-back losses heading into Week 12. The Mountaineers fell in consecutive games to Oklahoma State and Kansas State. Meanwhile, Texas is coming off back-to-back losses to Iowa State and lowly Kansas. The Longhorns have actually lost five games in a row entering this game and look more like a team in trouble than their opponents this weekend.

Here are the odds for this Big 12 matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Texas vs. West Virginia Prediction and Pick

This is a great spot for the Mountaineers to at least work towards ending their season on a high note. Texas has a much weaker defense than West Virginia and I believe this will be the difference-maker here.

WVU has a very good offense despite their record even if they are inconsistent. Their up-and-down play makes games against tougher opponents very tricky, but Texas is not one of those opponents. I do worry about West Virginia’s state of mind after losing two in a row in the middle of a winning streak, but I think their offense steps up and secures an underdog win for us here.

Pick: West Virginia +220
