The Ravens are Daring Ben Roethlisberger to Beat Them
By Reed Wallach
The Baltimore Ravens head to Pittsburgh to face their arch rival Steelers on Sunday afternoon as they look to remain atop the AFC standings.
The Steelers' offense has come to a halt over the past several weeks for a bevy of reasons. They escaped with a win against the Bears before having to start backup Mason Rudolph after Ben Roethlisberger was placed on the COVID-19 list. After that, they've suffered two straight losses to the Chargers and Bengals.
For the most part, the offense is far from its optimal state with Roethlisberger at the helm. The former Super Bowl winning quarterback's arm strength is sapped, which could spell trouble against the Ravens on Sunday.
The Steelers are 3.5-point underdogs at home to the Ravens per WynnBET Sportsbook with a low total of 44.
Pittsburgh's offense may struggle to produce against a Ravens defense that is built to shut down the run with their high pressure defensive scheme.

Baltimore blitzes at the third highest rate in the league, 34.8%, and also allow the third lowest rushing success rate on the season, per RBSDM.com. If the Steelers want to stay in the playoff mix, they are going to need Roethlisberger to put together a retro performance.
The Ravens defense is susceptible to the pass, 20th in EPA per drop back, but I don't believe that 'Big Ben' is capable of that given his advanced age and reduced arm strength (bottom 10 in average depth of target across the league this season).
